Alexander Wang designs cooler bag with Magnum

New York-based fashion designer Alexander Wang has created a 995 dollar leather-covered cooler bag in collaboration with Magnum, which was unveiled at the Cannes International Film Festival with supermodel Bella Hadid.

Featuring the signature Alexander Wang aesthetic, the limited edition cooler comes with a gold plated stainless steel lining, to keep all your ice creams cold, while being covered in black leather.

In a press statement, Magnum said that the cooler was a celebration of the “distinctive craft and expertise” that both brands embody and that it was part of its ‘Take Pleasure Seriously’ campaign which aims to “inject elegance and luxury in to an everyday object”.

"I'm excited to finally be able to share the Magnum x Alexander Wang cooler bag here in Cannes,” said Wang in a press statement. “It is the result of months of incredibly hard work on a very unique project. As you will hopefully see, the bags were designed to capture the craft and expertise that I share with Magnum. This collaboration allows for an indulgent Magnum whenever and wherever you want."

Want to know what Magnum ice cream creation Wang’s probably going to carry in his lunchbox-style cooler bag? Well, according to the launch party’s Magnum dipping bar, Wang sprinkled his Magnum with sweet black sugar, bitter charcoal, crunchy black sesame and delicate black sugar pearls, which he finished off with an embossed "AW" coin.

This isn’t the first time Magnum has collaborated with fashion designers. Last year, Moschino’s Jeremy Scott created a colourful line of bags for the ice cream brand.
